The first renderings with the new generation of the Audi R8 are showing us how the Spyder version of the German supercar will look like.
Originally unveiled just a few days ago and aimed towards the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where it will be making its public debut, the 2016 Audi R8 is now returning in new images, renderings to be more exact. The photos posted below are showing us how it will look like in its upcoming body style, that of a Spyder, which is still quite some time away as it will be introduced close to the end of this year or even in 2016, as recent reports are indicating.
The second generation of the German sports car is currently being offered in three versions, the R8 V10, which has been priced at 165,000 euros, the R8 V10 Plus, costing 187,400 euros, and the R8 e-tron, whose priced hasn’t been disclosed yet. Rumor has it that a new entry-level version will make its way onto the market too, as this should pack a V6 engine under its hood which will be producing at least 400 HP (298 kW). Even more, Audi hasn’t denied a TDI version of the new R8 generation and, besides this, a plug-in hybrid might be introduced too. More details on the 2016 Audi R8 are limited for the moment and will probably be announced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where it will be making its public debut tomorrow, the 3rd of March.
