You can only see it in a single photo at this time, but don’t worry because BMW has some big plans with it.
Ever since the new generation of the BMW X1 has went official last week, images, videos and renderings with the premium compact crossover have started hitting the web and when we came across this photo revealing how the new range-topping X1 M might look like, we couldn’t just leave it aside. The model in question will join the lineup of the M powered X5 and X6 and the future X3 and X4. This particular rendering is bringing the added visual and aerodynamic tweaks, over the standard ride.
We should notice the bolder fascia with the different front bumper with enlarged air intakes, the slightly flared front and rear wheel arches, the extended side skirts, the small M badge on the kidney grille, the special sports wheels, the beefed up brakes and several other goodies which will be placing this model in the same class as the Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG. The most important modification will be found under its hood where a new petrol burner with turbocharging will be added. We’re not sure exactly on how much power this will be developing, but keep in mind that the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo engine found on the GLA45 AMG is capable of putting down 355 HP (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.
