Cadillac’s newest creations, the ATS-V in its two body styles, have been officially unveiled ahead of their debut which will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Following a lot of spy photos, teasers and even leaks, the brand new Cadillac ATS-V Coupe and Sedan have been officially unveiled as they will be introduced in Los Angeles, in just a few hours, in a world premiere. The high performance version of the ATS has received an aggressive front fascia with a mesh grille and large air intakes, a ventilated carbon fiber hood, a front splitter, aerodynamic side skirts, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, a prominent rear spoiler, lightweight alloy wheels, 18-inch in size, covered in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and several other tweaks.
The two performance vehicles can also be equipped with the Carbon Fiber package, adding the more aggressive front splitter, the carbon fiber rear diffuser or the carbon fiber hood vent trim, amongst others, along with the Track package, which is bringing the Carbon Fiber package too, along with the Performance Data Recorder or the lightweight battery. The interior design is being carried over from the standard model but we can notice the Recaro performance seats with leather and sueded microfiber upholstery, the carbon fiber trim and the unique instrument cluster with the V series graphics on it.
The 2016 Cadillac ATS-V will be coming, in its both body styles, with a 3.6 liter V6 twin turbo engine under its hood. The unit will be producing a total output of 455 HP (339 kW) and 603 Nm (445 lb-ft) of torque, being connected to either a standard 6-speed manual transmission, with Active Rev Match, or an optional 8-speed automatic, with paddle shifters. Cadillac has declined to release performance details on the model but we do know that this has also received the Brembo braking system, electronic slip differential, Magnetic Ride Control and so on. The model will go on sale next spring.
