The new generation of the Chevrolet Camaro has been recently rendered in a convertible body style.
It may have been officially unveiled just a day ago but that didn’t stop rendering artists into imagining it in yet another body style. We are talking about the new generation of the Chevrolet Camaro which is now shown in two appealing images, in the convertible body style, signed by DesignRM and by X-Tomi Design. This version of the popular muscle car will definitely happen as the sixth generation of the Camaro will get its roof chopped in the near future. However, the company didn’t release any details on it, at this time, but chances are we will see it sometimes in 2016.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is making use of three engines, at this time, and, in a premiere, it is being offered with a four-cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged unit which has the tough job of rivaling the Ford Mustang EcoBoost. This version is packing a total output of 275 HP (205 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, allowing it to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 6 seconds. The unit is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and it can achieve 30 mpg on the highway. The 3.6 liter V6 is next in the lineup, packing 335 HP (250 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the aforementioned transmission or to the 8-speed automatic. The Camaro SS is coming with 455 HP (339 kW) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft) of torque from the 6.2L V12.
