The future generation of the Chevrolet Camaro is returning in two new teaser images as the muscle car is still a couple of weeks away from its official unveil.
The North American based automotive giant GM is placing the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro into the spotlights once again as the model in question is returning in two new teaser images. The car manufacturer is using big words in describing the car but it remains to be seen whether or not this will sport a range-topping version in order to compete with the impressive Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
“The Camaro went to the gym and came out with a lithe, more athletic physique for the sixth generation. It’s a more expressive evolution of the Camaro’s iconic character – and one that complements its leaner size and sharper reflexes”, said the General Motors global design vice president, Ed Welburn.
The upcoming Chevrolet Camaro is believed to ride on the Alpha platform, which is currently used on the front-engined, rear-wheel / all-wheel drive vehicles and this includes the MacPherson struts in the front and 5 link independent rear, making use of aluminum and high strength steel. The vehicle will be dropping up to 100 kg from its weight, compared to the current version, and it is believed to get a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood. A small four-cylinder unit is also expected on the car as this will be rivaling the Mustang EcoBoost. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will be unveiled on the 15th of May.
