The first renderings with the upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Camaro have recently hit the web and they are providing us with a first look into the new generation of the popular muscle car.
After the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has been caught on camera by our spy photographers a month ago, time has come for the model in question to enter our news once again, this time with the help of some new images. The photos posted below are renderings signed by Theophilus Chin and they are providing us with a first look into the new generation of the muscle car, which should be hitting the market sometimes next year.
The model in question has been rendered with shortened front and rear overhangs and with a slightly longer wheelbase. The roof of the model has been lowered and this is creating a sportier appearance. Rumors are stating that the vehicle might be riding on the same Alpha platform as the Cadillac CTS and this should ensure a significant weight loss. The engine lineup will be carried on with a few improvements and the company will be offering a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline burner, with an estimated 272 HP (202 kW) and 399 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, which will be competing with the mid-range Mustang EcoBoost.
