A new rendering with the next generation of the Chevrolet Camaro has popped onto the web, providing us with a new possible look into the upcoming muscle car.
The development of the next generation Chevrolet Camaro is no surprise to anyone as the test mule has been caught on camera several times by our spy photographers, over these past few months. Even so, because of the heavy camouflage added to its body, nobody outside the company knows how it may look like, but when comparing it to the current version and to other new models in the lineup, we can get a pretty good picture of how it will actually be.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is believed to ride on a modified version of the Alpha platform, which is also used on the Cadillac ATS, but the suspension system should be significantly upgraded, which means better handling. The engine lineup is expected to include the 2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged from the BMW 3-Series fighter, which will be good for 272 HP and 400 Nm of torque. This will go against the Ford Mustang EcoBoost, with its 310 HP and 433 Nm 2.3 liter four-cylinder. Don’t expect a rival for the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
