An image showing us how a Chevrolet Camaro RS in the new generation might look like in the sedan body style has just hit the web.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has a lot of expectations, especially since Ford is already offering the new Mustang across the globe and Dodge has created one of the hottest muscle cars ever, the Challenger SRT Hellcat. But what if the popular muscle car made by GM was offered as a shooting brake, a wagon or a family sedan? Well, that it probably lose its muscle car moniker but it will become one practice ride indeed. Happily the image posted above is nothing more than a simple rendering, which has been signed by X-Tomi Design, so don’t go looking for one in a dealership nearby.
The sixth generation of the Chevrolet Camaro has been officially unveiled just a few days back. The vehicle is getting, for the first time ever, a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, rated at 275 HP (205 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. This is GM’s answer to the Ford Mustang EcoBoost, but let’s not forget that the car signed by the “blue oval” is more powerful. Next in the lineup we find the 3.6 liter V6 engine, with its 335 HP (250 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the 6-speed manual or the optional 8-speed automatic. The current range-topping version is the Camaro SS which has a 6.2 liter V8 with 455 HP (339 kW) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft) of torque. There have been no pricing details released at this time.
