2016 Chevrolet Camaro spied once more image

The future generation of the Chevrolet Camaro has been caught on camera once more, while it was being tested out near the famous German track, the Nurburgring.

With the new generation of the Ford Mustang rolling off the production line and with Dodge offering the impressive Challenger SRT Hellcat, the most powerful muscle car ever, Chevrolet is falling back with its Camaro despite what is probably a more appealing body, so the development of a new generation was imminent and the best thing to do.

Such a test mule of the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro has been caught on camera by our spy photographers and we can see the thinner camouflaged body. The vehicle should be riding on a reworked version of the Alpha platform, which made its way onto the Cadillac ATS. The suspension system should be significantly upgraded too and this should provide a better handling.

As far as the engine lineup goes, Chevy will adopt a 2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the same one from the ATS, which will produce 272 HP and 400 Nm and will have the tough job of taking on Ford’s EcoBoost Mustang, the 2.3 liter rated at 310 HP and 433 Nm of torque. The new generation of the Chevrolet Camaro will be introduced sometimes next year.
