Our spy photographers have managed to capture on camera the next generation of the Chevrolet Malibu.
Ever since the Malibu nameplate was resurrected back in 1997, we have seen several versions of the model and now, currently on its eighth generation, the model in question is getting ready to receive a new variant. What might be in store for the new Malibu is actually hard to see because of the heavy black camouflage fitted onto the test mule pictured below but we can dare to say that we expect a new design with an entirely new front fascia, dominating the new Chevy models.
The 2106 Chevrolet Malibu will be adopting a lower, sloped roof line, along with new light clusters. The vehicle is expected to ride on the Epsilon II platform and it will be getting a larger wheelbase and track width. As far as the engine lineup goes, chances are we will get the 2.5 liter and the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder, carried over, with several minor revisions. The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu will be officially presented to the public sometimes next year, probably during a major North American international automotive event. More details on the model are limited at the moment.
