General Motors has officially pulled the wraps off the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado HD.
The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado HD is now being highlighted with the North American based automaker announcing a series of changes which have been applied to the popular pickup truck. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question is now bringing the three new colors for the exterior, which include the Butte Red Metallic, the Red Hot and the Siren Red Tincoat. The vehicle is also coming with the Digital Steering Assist system, on certain double cab and crew cab versions.
“New Digital Steering Assist power steering on some double cab and crew cab models helps make hauling and trailering easier and more confident, with electronic controls that enhance road holding and stability on the highway – particularly on crowned roads – regardless of whether the truck is loaded. It also offers greater responsiveness and an improved steering feel”, says the automaker in its press release.
The cabin of the pickup truck hasn’t been left aside either as this is now getting a lot of new options which include the remote locking tailgate and the wireless smartphone charger, amongst others. Here we can also find the 7- and 8-inch MyLink infotainment system, with faster processors, along with the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado HD can also get the Gooseneck / 5th Wheel Trailering Prep Package, which is adding the frame-mounted hitch platform, cargo bed-mounted trailer harness and a gooseneck ball hitch or fifth wheel hitch. Trim levels available include the Work Truck, the LT, LTZ and High Country. No pricing details have been announced at this point.
