Chevrolet has released some new details and images with the 2016 Silverado, which is going to make its debut at the Texas State Fair soon.
The newest addition to the Chevrolet lineup is the Silverado, in the 2016 model year. The vehicle in question is looking instantly recognizable and it has received the sculpted hood, the brand new headlights with its integrated LED daytime running lights, a revised front grille, power running boards on the High Country version, a remote locking tailgate and several other goodies.
If you were hoping to find out the full details on the brand new pickup truck, you will be disappointed because Chevrolet didn’t release them at this point. However, the North American brand did say that the interior design of the 2016 Silverado is going to get a new MyLink infotainment system which will be compatible with Android Auto and with the Apple CarPlay, along with the wireless smartphone charger.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado is going to be offered, in the cheapest version, with a 4.3 liter V6 engine under its hood, producing a total of 285 HP (212 kW) and 413 Nm (305 lb-ft) of torque. This will be followed by the 5.3 liter V8 variant, which is coming with 355 HP (264 kW) and 518 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. The range-topping model will be taking its power from a 6.2 liter V8 engine, rated at 420 HP (313 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque.
