2016 Dodge Durango to sport two new appearance packs image

The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles brand recently announced the Durango achieved a top delivery rate, the best in almost a decade, which is why the company has decided to celebrate in style.

This is the reason two new appearance packages are being introduced for the model, which could serve as a means towards achieving even better sales in the near future. First up is the Durango Limited which can now be had with a new Brass Monkey package that will set back potential clients $995 – and for the money’s worth they’ll be getting a gloss black grille, even more body-color components, as well as a new set of 20-inch aluminum wheels with a Burnished Bronze finish. Customers can also turn to the Durango Citadel that packs a new Anodized Platinum appearance package, available if they’re willing to shell out another $1,095. It has been developed to confer an “even more polished look,” and brings a roster of Platinum colored components such as the grille, door handles, and mirror caps and also boasts 20-inch Satin Carbon aluminum wheels.

Considering the models only gain new appearance packages, the 3.6-liter V6 engine remains the same and will continue to deliver up to 295 horsepower and 260 pound of torque, linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that can send the power to an optional AWD system. “Offering new custom exterior options is just one way we plan to continue to keep building on Durango’s success,” commented FCA executive Tim Kuniskis. Dealers will take orders for the new packs immediately, with deliveries tipped for the second quarter of the year.
