The North American based automaker Ford has released a video with the 2016 Range where the model is partially revealed.
Ford is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the 2016 Ranger. The model in question is basically a facelifted version of the current generation and it has been based on the recently unveiled Everest. This is getting a more rugged look than the current variant and, considering the spy photos shown over the last few weeks, its cabin should be getting the most significant changes, compared to the pre-facelift.
The 2016 Ford Ranger is expected to come with the same 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, rated at 150 HP and 375 Nm of torque, along with a larger 3.2 liter TDCi five-cylinder, producing 200 HP and 470 Nm of torque. The two units will be connected to either a 6-speed manual or to an optional automatic transmission and might be slightly revised for the facelift, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. The 2016 Ford Ranger is expected to be introduced by the end of this year but its sales should be kicking off in 2015. More details on it are limited at this time.
