2016 Ford Taurus introduced, will debut in Shanghai image

The 2016 Ford Taurus has made its web debut recently and it will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show.

Ford is attending the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show and one of its debuts will be the 2016 Taurus. The model in question is looking instantly recognizable and this is the first time when the Taurus nameplate is arriving on the local market. It is sharing a lot of the design with the new generation of the Mondeo / Fusion as it is getting the hexagonal radiator grille, the sweptback LED headlights, the LED taillights and the 19-inch wheels with 10 spokes.

“The Ford Taurus was created for highly sophisticated consumers in China who need an equally sophisticated vehicle for both business and personal use. With a powerful, confident and inviting design, a spacious and elegant interior, impeccable craftsmanship, compelling performance and advanced technology, the Ford Taurus makes no compromises as an innovative flagship sedan”, said the Changan Ford Automobile Co. president, Marin Burela.

The new Ford Taurus has a panoramic sunroof in the cabin, it is offering plenty of room for the rear passengers, 25 “intelligent” storage spaces and a lot more. Under its hood, we will find the 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 engine but if you were hoping for some official performance figures you will be disappointed because the carmaker is currently keeping them a secret. The car will be assembled at the new Changan Ford Hangzhou Plant, as part of a 760m USD investment, and here the company will be producing up to 250,000 vehicles annually.
