The compact vehicle is now ending up in our news once more, this time with the company announcing its production start. Honda says that the new generation of the Civic, in its four-door body style, is making use of a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated 16-valve engine, producing 158 HP, connected to either a 6-speed manual, in the cheapest version, or a CVT. The 1.5 liter turbocharged unit is also bringing four cylinders but this is rated at 173 HP (129 kW) and it’s only available with a CVT. The Civic is now in its tenth generation and, compared to its predecessor, it has lost 31 kg from its total weight while being larger and more practical.
