HSV has officially launched the Gen-F2 range for the 2016 model year in Australia in the company of a large photo gallery.
Just a week ago we were telling you about the Holden VFII Commodore and now we are bringing yet another news from Australia, where the 2016 HSV Gen-F2 has been launched. The model in question is bringing a modified suspension system, new front and rear bumpers, hood vents, different side skirts and a set of new 20-inch alloy wheels for the GTS, the Maloo and the ClubSport variants.
The range-topping model has been called the GTS and this is bringing the 20×85- and the 20×9.5-inch front to rear wheels. The Magnetic Ride Control Generation 3 is also available for the model, bringing three independent settings in the GTS, the Touring, the Sport and the Track. As far as the engine goes, the vehicle has been equipped with a 6.2 liter supercharged LSA Generation IV alloy V8, which is capable of putting down no less than 540 HP (400 kW) and 600 Nm (495 lb-ft) of torque. Transmission options include the 6-speed manual and the 6-speed heavy duty automatic, but the Launch Control feature is only available with the manual gearbox. The Gen-F2 GTS has 580 HP and 740 Nm of torque and the cheapest version, the ClubSport R8 LSA manual has been priced from 80,990 AUD, before on-road costs, while the range-topping GTS will be setting you back for 95,990 AUD in the manual version.
