Infiniti has officially announced the starting price of the 2016 QX50 LWB in the United States.
According to Nissan’s luxury brand, the model in question has a base starting price of 35, 850 USD, without the 995 USD destination charge. When compared to the 2015 model year, the vehicle is bringing 1,700 USD worth of extra goodies and a stretched wheelbase by 8.1 cm (3.2 inches). The overall length of the car has grown by 11 cm (4.5 inches) and this is translating into an extra 8.3 cubic feet of volume inside it. The rear legroom has increased by 4.3 inches (11 cm) as well while the knee room has jumped by 3.9 inches (10 cm).
The ride height of the 2016 Infiniti QX50 has been increased as well, by 0.8 inches (2 cm) and there is now a larger list of standard equipment available for the car. This includes the Hagane Blue paint, the moonroof, the heated seats and the new 19-inch wheels, amongst others. If you were hoping for some changes in the engine compartment, you will be disappointed because the vehicle is still being offered with the 3.5 liter V6 engine. This is capable of putting down a total of 265 HP (198 kW) at 6,400 rom and 336 Nm (248 lb-ft) of torque, available at 4,400 rpm. Power is being sent to the rear wheels or to the four-wheel drive through a CVT. Order books for the 2016 Infiniti QX50 LWB will be opened later on this month.
