The updated version of the Kia Cee’d is getting ready to become available for its future customers in the United Kingdom.
The 2016 Kia Cee’d has a base starting price of 14,905 GBP and it is bringing the new 1.0 liter three-cylinder turbocharged T-GDI petrol engine, offered in two-outputs, with 98 HP and 118 HP, on the five-door Cee’d and on the 3-door Pro_Cee’d. The Sportswagon will be getting this later on. The nit is producing 172 Nm of torque, between 1,500 rpm and 4,000 rpm, and it is more frugal than the 1.4 liter naturally aspirated or the 1.6 liter unit.
The model is also getting a 1.6 liter CRDi diesel engine, which can be connected to a 7-speed double clutch transmission. This is producing 134 HP and 280 Nm of torque, on the manual version, or 300 Nm on the 7-DCT. The updated version of the compact vehicle is also bringing a GT-Line trim package, adding some visual elements of the sportier GT, which include the twin exhaust, the LED DRLs and the 17-inch wheels amongst others. In the cabin, this is also adding the leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, alloy pedals, high gloss black details, diamond-pattern upholstery and so on. The chassis of the car has been retuned as well and in the diesel lineup, additional noise insulation has been added under the hood. The Pro_Cee’d has a starting price of 15,250 GBP and for the Sportswagon, customers will pay 16,750 GBP.
