2016 Kia Soul goes on sale in the U.S. image

Kia has announced the introduction of the 2016 model year Soul across the nation as this has received some modest revisions.

The 2016 Kia Soul is now adding the standard alloy wheels, the 4.3-inch touch screen display on the Convenience Package, the SiriusXM satellite radio, the rearview camera and so on, on the Base trim. Go for the mid-range Plus version and you will get the fog lights, the gloss black bumper “tusks”, the 18-inch alloy wheels with black spokes, the two-tone body look, the leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel and so on. The range-topping version of the model, the Exclaim, is bringing the leather trimmed seats and it can also get the optional Premium Package, which is adding the Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning.

These are a premiere for the model in question. The package is also adding the upgraded Infiniti sound system, the navigation system, the panoramic sunroof, the ventilated front seats, the heated front and rear seats, the LED ambient lighting and others. There is also the Umber Color Package, available in the Fathom Blue, Shadow Black or Cloud White exterior shades, with the HID projector headlights and Nappa covering the door armrest and seating surfaces. The base version of the 2016 Kia Soul is still packing the same 130 HP and 118 lb-ft of torque 1.6 liter GDI direct injected naturally aspirated engine, connected to a standard 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic, while the Plus and Exclaim have the 2.0l with 164 HP an 151 lb-ft of torque, connected to the 6-speed auto.
