The 2016 Kia Sportage has been teased by the car manufacturer as the model will be debuting at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September.
The biggest automotive event of this fall is the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and with its gates set to be opened in mid-September, all major car manufacturers are preparing their surprise. Kia is not making an exception either as it has recently announced to debut the brand new Sportage. The model in question has been teased in three images recently and these are providing us with a first look into the compact crossover. This has received a fresh look for both the exterior and the cabin and it is getting the “tiger nose” grille sitting lower.
Another thing visible is the shape of the headlights which have been modified, along with the addition of the LED daytime running lights, which have been incorporated into the cluster. The taillights now have a sleek design, there is a roof mounted spoiler and it seems that the vehicle has also received underbody protection. The cabin of the brand new Kia Sportage is being inspired by the larger Sorento and the Optima and it has the body-hugging seats, the flat bottomed steering wheel, the automatic transmission, large central armrest, red ambient lighting and a large touch screen display. Additional details on the 2016 Kia Sportage are limited at this point and will be announced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Sales are expected to begin by the end of the year.
