The Japanese based automaker Toyota is planning on introducing the new generation of the RX next month, at NAIAS, in Detroit, and this has been envisioned recently.
Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus is preparing to introduce a brand new RX mid-size crossover at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, in mid-January, but until that happens, we really don’t have a clue on how this will look like exactly. Happily, rendering artists such as Theophilus Chin are trying to envision the final production version of the model so the one pictured above may very well be close to what Lexus will introduce.
The fourth generation of the mid-size luxury crossover is a necessity considering the fact that the current one has been in production since the end of 2008. Its design is believed to be influenced by the one of its smaller brother, the NX, but it will grow in size in order to put some distance between it and the entry-level model. Rumor has it that it will spawn a seven-seat version, with a 3-row seating arrangement, but this hasn’t been confirmed either. More details on the 2016 Lexus RS will be announced at the 2015 NAIAS, next month.
