Lincoln has announced a series of updates on the MKC for the 2016 model year, which will be offered for sale shortly.
The 2016 Lincoln MKC has recently received a series of updates. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question is coming with some minor changes and these include the standard power liftgate, the Sands / Espresso interior or a revised color palette with some new options, including the Burgundy Velvet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, the Luxe Metallic or the Black Velvet.
“The Lincoln MKC is the brand’s first ever small utility vehicle. It is a combination of craftsmanship and performance that make it a compelling offering in the fast-growing luxury small utility segment”, says the automaker in its official press release.
Other goodies available for the car include the SYNC 3 driver connectivity system, the climate package with windshield wiper de-icer, panoramic all-glass Vista Roof, the Lincoln signature push-button and gear shifter, the Lincoln Intelligent All-Wheel Drive with continuously controlled damping, the driver assist technologies including the Blind Spot Information, the Collision Warning system, the active park assist with park-out capabilities and the Lane Keeping system.
The 2016 Lincoln MKC is taking its power from the 2.0 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder unit, with 240 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque, along with the 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, producing 285 HP and 305 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle will be offered in three versions, the Premiere, Select and Reserve and it will carry a starting price of 34,185 USD, including the 925 USD destination charge but without other taxes and fees. The vehicle will be offered for sale later on this year and it is being produced in Louisville, Kentucky.
