Mazda has officially announced the introduction of the new MX-5 generation in Australia, where the model is available in different versions.
The cheapest example of the roadster is equipped with a 1.5 liter engine and a manual transmission and it can be yours from 31,990 AUD, while for the automatic variant you will have to pay 33,990 AUD. The GT 1.5 liter manual costs 37,990 AUD and the GT 1.5l automatic can be yours from 39,990 AUD. The 2.0 liter manual has been priced at 34,490 AUD and the 2.0 liter automatic costs 36,490 AUD. The range topping GT 2.0 liter manual has a price of 39,550 AUD and the same version, but equipped with an automatic gearbox, will be setting you back for 41,550 AUD.
The new generation of the Mazda MX-5 has a choice of two engines, both of them petrol burners. The first one is a 1.5 liter four-cylinder with 96 kW and 150 Nm of torque and the other one has 2.0 liters in displacement, being rated at 118 kW and 200 Nm of torque. Some of the standard specifications found across the range include the 16-inch alloy wheels, the LED headlights and taillights, the limited slip differential, the cloth soft-top, black cloth upholstery, six-speaker audio system, cruise control, push-button start, Bluetooth, AUX, USB and so on. The range-topping model is bringing the black leather upholstery, the climate control, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights, heated side mirrors, keyless entry and more.
