McLaren has announced a series of updates for the 650S supercar in the 2016 model year.
If you were looking into adding a brand new McLaren 650S to your garage, than the 2016 model year may be just what the doctor has ordered, since the carmaker has made some improvements to it. According to the British based brand, the supercar is now getting plenty of options as standard equipment, which include the carbon fiber made front splitter, the side skirts, the rear bumper and the side mirror casings, for which customers had to pay 22,500 USD before.
The model in question is also going to get the Enhanced Technology Package, which is adding the rearview camera, the electric seats and the parking sensors, along with the Track Telemetry App, priced at 2,800 USD, which is incorporating the data-logging features, and the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, costing 1,300 USD. For the 2016 McLaren 650S, customers living in the United States will have to pay at least 271,900 USD, in the two-door coupe, while for the two-door roadster, the McLaren 650S Spider, prices will begin from 286,900 USD. Under its hood, we can find the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is still rated at 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is made in 3 seconds and top speed stands at 333 km/h (207 mph).
