The 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer has been officially unveiled and it will be offered for sale soon.
The future of the Mitsubishi Lancer may be uncertain but that doesn’t mean that the carmaker cannot perform a facelift. The model in question has just been unveiled officially and it is bringing a new front fascia, standard LED daytime running lights, revised front grille, additional chrome trim, a revised color palette adding the Diamond White Pearl and the Alloy Silver and the new design for the wheels.
“The 2016 Lancer not only looks good with its updated styling, but it drives and performs at a level well beyond its value-oriented price point,” said MMNA executive vice president, Don Swearingen. “The new 2016 Lancer builds upon the legacy of challenging what a compact car can be in terms of design, technology and performance, all at an affordable price.”
Some of the standard features found on the midsized vehicle include the FUSE Hands-Free Link System, the automatic air conditioning climate control, new LED DRLs, alloy wheels and fog lights for the ES trim level. The SE is adding the heated front seats, all-wheel control, display audio with HD radio, rearview camera and others. The SEL is bringing the leather seats, auto dimming mirror, automatic headlights, leather seats, rain sensing wipers and others, while the GT is bringing the sport-tuned suspension system, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, larger disc brakes, sunroof, rear spoiler and the 5-speed manual or the new CVT8 transmission. The engine options are basically the same as before. No pricing details have been announced so far.
