The 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has recently leaked out in several patent images which are showing its new design.
The Japanese based automaker Mitsubishi is planning on releasing an updated version of the Pajero Sport and it seems that development is far more advanced than we initially believed as you can see from the images posted below. The 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, or the Montero Sport or Challenger as it is also being known, will be receiving several tweaks made to it which will basically help it stand out from the current version.
The model in question will be coming with the slender grille, with the large air intake in the middle of the front bumper, with a new design for the headlights, with muscular fenders, with a bulging hood, with a lot of chrome trim, with the unique taillight design with the vertical element, the distinctive green house and the sloping roofline, amongst others. Rumor has it that the vehicle in question will be heavily influenced by the L200 / Triton. As far as the engine lineup goes, chances are that the 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be coming with the 2.4 liter turbo diesel, producing a total output of 154 HP (113 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, and 181 HP (133 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque. Additional details on the 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport are limited for the moment and will be announced soon, when the model will be unveiled.
