The 2016 Nissan Altima has been officially unveiled as the model will be offered for sale shortly.
Nissan has officially introduced the Altima for the 2016 model year which is considered to be a major facelift. The vehicle in question is now bringing a new front fascia, with the V-motion grille, the revised hood, the new front fenders, the boomerang shaped headlights and the LED daytime running lights, which are being offered as an option. The carmaker is also offering a revised trunk, a new rear bumper, different taillights and several other goodies which will be placing some distance between it and its predecessor.
The facelifted version of the Nissan Altima is also said to get some aerodynamic styling tweaks, which include the underbody panels and the active grille shutter which are improving its drag coefficient to 0.26 Cd by 10 percent. The interior design of the car is mostly carried over but we can notice the revised center stack, the reshaped Zero Gravity front seats, the updated door upholstery and the new cup holders, amongst others. Under its hood, the 2016 Nissan Altima is being offered with a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine, capable of putting down a total of 182 HP (135 kW) and 243 Nm (180 lb-ft) of torque.
