The 2016 Nissan Altima has entered production in Smyrna, Tennessee, at the company’s facility.
Nissan is getting ready to introduce the first units of the 2016 Altima at the dealerships nationwide, in November, as the facelifted version of the car has recently started production in Smyrna, Tennessee. The model in question is bringing a new front fascia with the boomerang shaped headlights and the V-motion front grille, the optional LED DRLs, the new hood, the new rear bumper, the restyled headlights and the revised trunk.
The 2016 Nissan Altima is also bringing some changes in the cabin, but don’t expect any heavy modifications because you will be disappointed. Here we can find the revised steering wheel, the reshaped Zero Gravity front seats, the new center stack, the updated upholstery, the new center console with cup holders and several other goodies. Under its hood, the facelifted version of the Nissan Altima is making use of a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine, capable of putting down a total of 182 HP (135 kW) and 243 Nm (180 lb-ft) of torque. If this isn’t enough for you, than you can always order the 3.5 liter V6 engine, with its 270 HP (201 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft) of torque. Both units are connected to the Xtronic CVT, which is sending power to the front-wheel drive.
