2016 Nissan Maxima unveiled in New York image

The 2016 Nissan Maxima has been officially presented to the public attending the automotive event in the Big Apple these days.

Originally previewed by the Sport Sedan Concept, the 2016 Nissan Maxima is now coming with a bold design, with the LED infused headlights, the V-Motion front fascia, the blacked out pillars, the stylish body work, the dual exhaust system, the floating roof, the 18-inch alloy wheels and so on. The cabin is bringing the higher quality materials, the flat bottomed steering wheel, infotainment system, the 7.0-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display in the instrument cluster and more.

Optional features include the ambient lighting, the Bose audio system, the heated and cooled front seats, the premium Ascot leather seats, Intelligent Cruise Control, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert, the Predictive Forward Collision Warning system and more. Nissan says that the updated version of the Maxima is now riding on a new platform and it is using more high strength steel than the one it is replacing, increasing the torsional rigidity by 25 percent and cutting down 37 kg (82 lbs) from its weight.

The 2016 Nissan Maxima is taking its power from a 3.5 liter V6 engine. The unit is capable of producing a total output of 300 HP (223 kW) and 353 Nm (261 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the new Xtronic transmission. The model is returning 22 / 30 mpg in city / highway. The vehicle will have a starting price of 32,410 USD, except for the 825 USD destination charge and handling fee, and it will go on sale this summer.
