Scion has officially released the pricing details for the 2016 iA and iM in the United States.
If you have no clue on what the Scion iA is, we will tell you that it is nothing more than a rebadged version of the Mazda2, which has a starting price of 15,700 USD. The model in question has received the 7-inch display with the infotainment system, the push-button ignition, the keyless entry-, the tilt / telescoping steering wheel, the split folding rear seats and the rearview camera, amongst others. Under its hood, we can find the 1.5 liter four-cylinder unit, rated at 106 HP (79 kW), connected to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. With the automatic version, the model can return 33 / 42 / 37 mpg in city / highway / combined.
Besides the 2016 Scion iA, the car manufacturer has also announced the official starting price of the 2016 iM too. This is just a rebadged Toyota Auris, in the U.S.-spec, which is getting a 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, capable of putting down a total of 137 HP (102 kW). The unit is connected to a six-speed manual or to a CVT, which is available as an option. Some of the goodies for on the 2016 Scion iM include the 4.2-inch color multi information display, the dual-zone climate control, the 7-inch Pioneer Display audio system, the rearview camera, the leather wrapped steering wheel, the split folding rear seats and so on.
