Volkswagen Australia has announced the official pricing list for the new Passat generation across the Australian continent.
The 2016 Volkswagen Passat can be ordered from 34, 990 AUD, in the 132TSI Sedan version, being followed by the 132TSI Comfortline Sedan, from 39,990 AUD. Next in the lineup comes the 140TDI Highline Sedan, from 45,990 AUD and the 132TSI Wagon at 36,990 AUD. The 132TSI Comfortline Wagon can be yours from 41,990 AUD while for the range-topping 140TDI Highline Wagon customers will have to pay 47,990 AUD.
The 132TSI is bringing a 132 kW and 250 Nm 1.8l turbo petrol burner, with a 7-speed DSG, and goodies such as the 17-inch alloy wheels 3-zone climate control, cruise control with speed limiter, keyless start, nine airbags, rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, sat-nav with 6.5-inc screen, cloth seats, DLRs, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink compatibility. The 132TSI Comfort line is adding the adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, lane assist, low-speed autonomous brakes, 8.0-inch screen, electric tailgate on the wagon, leather sports seats, heated seats and so on.
Last but not least, the 140TDI Highline is adding a 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine, with 140 kW and 400 Nm of torque, connected to the 6-speed DSG. This version is also carrying the Nappa leather, color multifunction display, driver profile selector, piano black and aluminum cabin inserts, LED taillights and 18-inch alloy wheels. For the Metallic / Pearl paint, customers will have to pay 700 AUD, the Driver Assistant Package costs 1,800 AUD, the Luxury Package on the Highline can be yours from 3,500 AUD and for the R-Line Package customers will pay 2,500 AUD on the 140TDI Highline and 3,000 AUD on the 132 TSI Comfortline.
