Volvo has announced the official pricing list for the new generation of the XC90, which will be arriving in Australia shortly.
The cheapest version of the 2016 Volvo XC90, in the Pacific country, will be the D5 Momentum, which will start from 89,950 AUD. This will be followed by the D5 Inscription, priced at 96,950 AUD and the D5 R-Design, which will be setting you back for 97,950 AUD. Next in the lineup comes the T6 Momentum, priced at 93,950 AUD, the T6 Inscription, from 100,950 AUD and the T6 R-Design, from 101,950 AUD. The range-topping model is the T8 R-Design and this will be setting you back for 122,950 AUD.
The D5 examples will be taking their power from a 2.0 liter twin turbo four-cylinder diesel engine, rated at 165 kW and 470 Nm of torque, connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration will take 7.8 seconds and the average fuel consumption will stand at 6.2L / 100km. The T6 will be coming with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged petrol burner, connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission, rated at 235 kW and 400 Nm of torque. This will allow the XC90 to reach 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and the average fuel consumption will stand at 8.5L / 100km. Last but not least is the T8, equipped with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged petrol engine and an electric motor, connected to the same 8-speed automatic transmission. The output of the internal combustion unit stands at 235 kW and 400 Nm of torque, added to the 65 kW and 240 Nm of torque of the electric motor. This needs 5.6s to reach 100 km/h and it is using 2.1L / 100km of fuel.
