The final performance figures of the new Acura NSX generation have been officially released.
The 2017 Acura NSX / Honda NSX is getting closer and closer to its future customers and now fans of the model are finding out, for the very first time, its full performance figures. According to the car manufacturer, the 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 engine is found under its hood, which is developing a total of 500 HP (373 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, available at 7,500 rpm. The rear assist motor, placed behind the internal combustion unit, is bringing another 47 HP (35 kW) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque.
Behind this electric motor is the 9-speed dual clutch transmission and a pair of electric motors, with 36 HP (26 kW) and 73 Nm (54 lb-ft) of torque are sitting between the front wheels. These are working with the lithium-ion battery package pack, which is placed between the engine and the seats. The total output produced by this assembly stands at 573 HP (427 kW) and 644 Nm (476 lb-ft), which is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in approximately 3 seconds and a top speed of 307 km/h (191 mph). The 1,725 kg (3,803 lbs) weighing supercar will be offered for sale next year, as a 2017 model year, but no exact pricing has been announced yet.
