2017 Audi A5 Coupe gets rendered image

New renderings with the upcoming generation of the Audi A5 Coupe have hit the web and they are showing us how the model may look like.

A future rival of the BMW 4-Series Coupe and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is coming from Audi and it is the A5 Coupe, in its new generation. But before the carmaker will pull the wraps off its body, a lot of renderings and reports will tell us everything we need to know about it. The two images posted below have been signed by quattrodaily.com and they are imagining the front fascia and rear end of the car. This has been based on the new generation of the A4 (B9) so don’t expect major changes on top of this.

The premium coupe from Ingolstadt will be riding on the MLB Evo platform and it is believed to lose approximately 100 kg (220 lbs) from its total weight. Its size will be increased in order to make room for the A3 Sedan so expect a bigger and more practical cabin and more space in the trunk. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will be shared with the 2016 A4 so expect the 150 HP (110 kW) & 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) 1.4 TFSI, the 190 HP (140 kW) & 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) and 252 HP (185 kW) & 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) 2.0 TFSI along with the two diesel burners, the 2.0 TDI with 150 HP (110 kW) & 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) and 190 HP (140 kW) & 400 Nm (295 lb-ft), and the 3.0 TDI with 218 HP (160 kW) & 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) and 272 HP (200 kW) & 600 Nm (443 lb-ft).
