The British automaker has decided to present in front of the worldwide audience of the Shanghai motor show the Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Great Britain Edition – which is an exclusive China deal.
Well, a British brand celebrating… British culture and heritage, have we seen that one before? Anyways, the good-looking GB (we’ll just shorten it) is available as a Roadster, and costs plentiful – the equivalent of $303,000. This China-only limited series of the already superb droptop is being sold in a very exclusive series of five units, with the model being specifically created by the brand’s “Q” bespoke unit to celebrate “British culture and craftsmanship.” Design wise, the only color available is Stratus White mixed with blue accents for the side mirror caps, rear diffuser, and on the taillights. The differentiating elements continue with exterior wing badges finished in red, white, and blue.
Meanwhile the cockpit is dressed in Aurora Blue leather some “Zagato” wave quilting in red specifically created for the limited-run edition. There’s also Union Jack embroidery on the central armrest, as well as anodized blue rotary knobs for the dashboard. No powertrain enhancements have been operated, meaning the roadster uses the traditional V8 4.7-liter engine with 430 horsepower (321 kilowatts) and 361 pound-feet (490 Newton-meters) of torque, which is good enough for a sprint to 62 mph (100 kph) in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph (305 kph).
