The company’s study has been revealed in full during the press preview days of the Shanghai motor show, as an aesthetic family people-mover with room for at least five passengers.
Geely is moving forward its design language with somewhat of an odd concept – instead of bringing a crossover or SUV, as these are highly popular these days, it has decided upon the traditional body for families – multipurpose vehicles. The front end features Geely’s trademarked concentric radiator grille, with stylish headlights and a decorative chrome strip. The bumper is sporty thanks to the large air intake and is also adorned with LED daytime running lights. Being a concept, the chunky wheel arches feature large alloys, while the B-, C-, and D-pillars are all blacked out. The rear gets very narrow taillights joined by another chrome bar.
The cabin is accessible through the suicide doors and inside you’ll find a big center console where different controls have been located, though there aren’t any physical buttons or knobs. The vehicle’s infotainment system is controlled via the massive tablet-style display on the dashboard. The technical details have remained a bit shrouded in mystery, with reports of an electric or hybrid powertrain – and there’s no word if this will remain a prototype or it serves as a preview for the Emgrand EV8 new generation.
