The Cadillac XT5 is returning to our attention thanks to a new promo and three images which have been released by the carmaker recently.
The North American based automaker Cadillac is now placing the 2017 Cadillac XT5 into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of its first promotional video. On top of that, the company has also released three new images so speaking about its design is no longer “taboo” because this has been basically unveiled the last couple of times when we’ve spoken about it.
The Cadillac XT5 is going to serve as a replacement for the SRX and it has been previewed just a day ago, during a fashion event in New York. The model in question is looking more upscale compared to the SRX and it is bringing a new design language which has been inspired by the Escalade and the CT6. This is believed to be riding on the C1XX architecture and it should get front-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as an option.
The brand new crossover made by Cadillac will be using a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood, rated at 265 HP (198 kW), along with a 3.6 liter naturally aspirated V6, producing 335 HP (250 kW). The 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be officially presented to the public this November, during the 2015 Dubai Motor Show, and it won’t debut at the Frankfurt event as some reports were indicating. The model will be offered for sale sometimes in 2016.
