2017 Ford Escape treated to new Sport Appearance Package image

The Blue Oval company has recently introduced the new Sport Appearance Package for their latest sport utility vehicle currently on sale in the United States – the 2017 Escape.

The 2017 Ford Escape with Sport Appearance Package will become available in showrooms this spring and is closely mirroring the recently announced Ford Explorer version – packing a host of exterior and interior design modifications. The Sport Appearance Package will be offered when SE and Titanium trims are selected and the exterior tweaks pack a black window trim, a gloss black grille, and 19-inch aluminum wheels featuring an ebony black appearance. The interior changes have been rather confined but the company said the pack will bolster partial leather sport seats and white contrast stitching, and we also noticed some updated trim – but exact modifications will be detailed closer to launch.

The refreshed 2017 Ford Escape will be offered through the dealer network later this year and will pack a range of new and updated engines. There’s for example a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost with 180 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque, an updated 2.0-liter EcoBoost packing 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque and the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine has been carried over delivering 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque.
