2017 Ford Focus ST takes the spotlight with new paint image

This year’s arguably best hot hatch has been the Ford Focus RS, but the company also has the ST to talk about – or rather shine – with the new 2017 model year Triple Yellow paint job.

Cars such as a Focus RS are designed to showcase their prowess even before turning the ignition – but what do you do when the people don’t have the will or skill to buy such a road and track “monster”. You give them alternatives – and in this class there are plenty – from the VW Golf GTI to the Blue Oval’s own Focus ST. Now owners of the model in the United States can become the gossip subject thanks to the introduction of the popular Mustang hue – Triple Yellow Metallic Tri-Coat. It does cut another eye screaming paint – the aptly named Tangerine Scream Metallic Tri-Coat, and will carry an asking price of $595.

All things considered, the 2017 model year Focus ST still relies on the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque – with the power sent to the wheels via a six speed manual. In the US the 2017 Focus ST kicks off at $25,650 (after $875 destination) – and you can also have other shades such as Kona Blue, Race Red, Magnetic gray, Oxford White, and Shadow Black.
