The German automaker introduced the Macan compact SUV as a more affordable alternative to the full size Cayenne and the success was of course almost preposterous, especially for the die hard fans.
Thos treated the Macan as if it were an Audi Q5 with a different badge, but when using the Turbo badge the compact luxury crossover SUV boasts 00 PS (395 horsepower) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft), enabling a 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 4.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 165 mph (266 km/h). Now even that has been trumped by the slightly more powerful 2017 Porsche Macan Turbo Performance Package. The 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine now has a badge claiming and the specs read 440 PS (434 HP) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft). This is good enough for a 62 mph sprint in 4.4 seconds, and a new top speed of 272 km/h (169 mph). If you get the new version in the US, it will set you back $86,445 without delivery and handling, while in Germany it costs €91,143.
For the price tag Porsche not only enables better performance but also enhanced looks thanks to the Turbo Exterior Package, which has 21-inch 911 Turbo design wheels, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus, and others. There’s an equally complete Turbo Interior Package, which packs black leather and carbon fiber trim among others.
