The next generation of the Porsche Panamera has been recently caught on camera while being tested out on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
Porsche has been developing a new generation of the Panamera for the past few months, and after it has been rendered a few times, the model in question has been now caught on camera while being tested on the Nurburgring. The vehicle is believed to be a test mule of the next generation Porsche Panamera and the one in the video has a V6 engine under its hood, but V8 units will become available for the model too.
The 2017 Porsche Panamera is believed to be influenced by the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept and the model will be completely redesigned. The rear end is said to be inspired from the 911. The luxury vehicle will be riding on the MSB platform, the same one which will underpin some new Bentley models and it should drop approximately 200 lbs (91 kg) from its weight. The Panamera Sport Turismo Concept has been first seen a couple of years ago, during the Paris Motor Show. The model had a 3.0L supercharged engine and a 9.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, producing a total output of 416 HP (306 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint took less than 6 seconds and the average fuel consumption stood at 3.5L / 100km.
