The Spanish based automaker Seat has released the first sketch with the new generation of the Ibiza which is said to go on sale in a couple of years.
The fifth generation of the Seat Ibiza is still a long way from becoming a reality but even so, the car manufacturer has released its first ever teaser image. The sketch posted above isn’t revealing that much but we can see that the model will become more compact and it will have a sportier appearance, with its slightly slopping roof line, with the roof spoiler, the larger wheels and several other tweaks which should make it quite popular in the B segment.
The 2017 Seat Ibiza will be receiving a new platform, in the shape of the shortened MQB, which is currently used, in the normal version, on the new Golf, on the Audi A3, Leon and several other vehicles. The shortened variant of the MQB platform will also be used on the next generations of the Volkswagen Polo and on the Audi A1 too. A variety of three- and four-cylinder engines will be used on the next Ibiza generations, along with new infotainment and safety equipment. The model will go on sale in 2016.
