You’re not going to be able to buy more than one M3 30 Years American Edition simply because the exclusive build includes a one-of-a-kind custom build based off the regular M3 Competition Package.
Things started out pretty serene for this unsuspecting manual M3 performance sedan fitted with the Competition Package, but in time for the worldwide presentation in front of the audience of the SEMA show in Las Vegas, the Bavarian automaker has dressed the car in this special version designed to celebrate 30 years of M3 history in the United States. It comes with a red, white, and blue theme – the BMW Group Designworks division worked their magic on the exterior where they settled on a catchy Frozen Red II Metallic hue with a “frozen” appearance. The M3 30 Years American Edition also gains cool golden alloy wheels 19 inch front and 20 inch rear – along with M color stripes on the CFRP roof and 30th Anniversary graphic on the rear sunshade.
BMW has also opted for a bevy of M Performance parts, after all we’re dealing with the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association show, including new shock absorbers with red coil springs as part of the adjustable sports suspension. At the back the carbon fiber wing has racing stripes and bodes well with the exhaust system bundled with titanium rear silencer and carbon finishers. The interior is a bit in your face, though – mostly due to the tri-color red, white, and blue upholstery. The seats are wrapped in Merino leather from the BMW Individual catalog and come with Opal White surfaces with Mugello Red Merino stripes and blocks of Fjord Blue Merino, as references to the American flag.
