We’re getting another hot Aston Martin – this time around something a bit smaller than the DB11, DB11 Volante duo – it’s of course the eagerly-anticipated new generation Vantage.
The all-new Aston Martin Vantage is coming – with an official launch date set for some time in November – and the British automaker is clearly enticing us to the introduction via an official teaser image. The car is being launched next month in a top-secret location, and already spy photographers are reporting the testing phase is almost complete. Well, we’re not going to wait too much for the reveal, so let’s see what details we can make out from under the wraps.
The Aston teaser clearly depicts the back side of the sports car, and from under the semi-transparent sheet we can clearly see Aston is making a transition to full-width rear LED lights. The rear lights seem to be of the ultra-slim category, as the new Vantage is gunning for the Porsche 911 cake by pushing on the dynamic drum machine. Most likely the prime engine option will be the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine packing around 500 horsepower – with options for a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission. Naturally, purists will hold off for the V12 version and possibly for the Vantage combination as well.
