A couple of renderings are showing us what the next generation of the Audi A7 may be looking like.
Ever since Audi has introduced the Prologue Concept, it has given designers a free hand in imagining all sorts of vehicles and replacements for the current models and the Audi A7 makes no exception from this rule. The two images posted below are nothing more than simple renderings which have been put together by DesignRM. The model in question has been based, of course, on the Prologue Concept, and it has received some styling tweaks in order to resemble the next generation A7. The styling differences between the A7 Sportback and the next generations of the A6 and A8 will be very different.
The upcoming Audi A7 is expected to make use of the MLB Evo platform, which will be helping it shed about 100 kg (220 lbs) from its total weight and, since the next generation of the A6 is believed to get the semi-autonomous driving system, allowing it to drive itself at speeds up to 60 km/h (37 mph), don’t act too surprised if the same technology will be used on the A7 too. The air suspension will be tweaks and it will be capable of making the necessary adjustments by using a camera to scan the road up ahead. The engine lineup will be significantly updated too but, unfortunately, the model is still a few years away, as it is believed to be launched in the second half of 2017, after the A6 and the A8.
