The luxury producer is getting ready to put a fresh face on one of its oldest current models – the XTS, so it has the 2918 model year arrive with a new front design and more technologies inside.
The large luxury sedan is getting in touch with the latest design language of the house, with new angled headlights and integrated, modified taillights, with most upgrades observable at the front and back. LED headlights and taillights are now a standard affair, and there are also new 19- and 20-inch wheel designs to choose from. Under the metal, the optional Magnetic Ride Control and Rear Air Leveling, a new arrival for the XTS have arrived to improve chassis control and offer a smoother ride, while there are also front Brembo brakes. Inside, the new Maple Sugar and Jett Black trim options have been added exclusive to the Platinum – but most users will be glad to see the next-generation Cadillac infotainment system arrive for the XTS as well.
The leather-wrapped interior, microfiber suede headliner, and premium wood trim are also upscaling the feel inside. Also new are four USB ports and a new eight-speaker Bose audio system. Motivation is provided by Cadillac’s 3.6-liter V6 good for 304 horsepower (227 kilowatts) and 264 pound-feet (355 Newton meter) of torque. Go for the V-Sport trim, and a new biturbo system is offered so the engine is uprated to 410 hp (306 kW) and 369 lb-feet (500 Nm) of torque, complete with all-wheel drive.
