Vin Diesel is known for not being able to keep secrets about his projects – so we wouldn’t be surprised if he accidentally leaked in a Facebook video the new Dodge hero car.
A promo video for the upcoming Fast 8 movie – a well known partner of FCA – might have leaked early the new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – in the clip actor Vin Diesel is very thankful for the crew he worked with during the upcoming Fast and Furious movie, and seems to feature a Demon in the background. This might be a marketing ploy – because there are lots of clues. We start with a shaded Demon badge on the front fender of the Dodge Challengers, and we also notice the wide hood scoop that is different from the Hellcat and seems similar to the one glimpsed in the official Dodge Demon teaser trailer.
There are also obvious fender flares and new five-spoke wheels, which might be in part the reason for Demon’s weight-reduction strategy success. We already know the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon will be the “new ultimate performance halo” of the lineup, so it could also feature a power bump from the 707-horsepower (527-kilowatt) Challenger Hellcat. It’s going to be faster nonetheless, because Dodge has already revealed it shaved 200 pounds (91 kilograms).
