The latest sport utility vehicle from Volkswagen is in attendance at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and it’s not going there alone – instead showing up in R-Line attire.
The regular Atlas will become available in spring throughout dealerships in the United States, but it turns out customers looking to adorn the model with the R-Line package will need to wait a few more months. Volkswagen unveiled the eagerly anticipated Atlas seven-seater crossover mere months ago during the Los Angeles Auto Show, and Volkswagen is already hurrying to offer new perks on the model – namely the R-Line trim which brings a touch of sportiness. It will become available on the SE and SEL trims, with the R-Line bringing bespoke front and rear bumpers, new side skirts, and 20-inch wheels.
The cabin gets a smaller touch – small R clip on the steering wheel, stainless steel pedal covers, and an R-Line logo that displays on the infotainment screen upon startup. The visual pack is available for buyers on all powertrains, wither with four- or six-cylinder engines, and with front- or all-wheel drive. The first time anyone will be able to admire the changes brought by the R-Line pack will be during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit stating in just a few days.
