351 Mustang by Saleen announced in L.A.

Steve Saleen has recently announced plans to produce the 351 Mustang during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Good news for muscle car lovers because Steve Saleen is back in charge of his brand and the first model to make its way onto the market will be the 351 Mustang, as Saleen has recently announced, during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The model in question will get a carbon fiber front splitter, a butterfly hood scoop, a carbon fiber rear diffuser with an F1 style tail lamp, a carbon fiber rear splitter and a lot more, which will help the muscle car stand out in a crowd.

Power to the 351 Mustang will be provided by a 351 cubic inch V8 engine, which will produce a total output of 700 HP (522 kW) and it will have a peak torque of 887 Nm (655 lb-ft). The unit will be mated to a six-speed transmission with a performance clutch system which will “move” the rear wheels. In order to stop the car, 15-inch disc brakes will be fitted and the model will ride on large 20-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in high performance tires.
